A novel nanocarrier material based on a self-assembling system containing amphiphilic diblock copolymers was designed, synthesized, and characterized in order to develop a more stable and effective carrier for drug delivery. Two kind of amphiphilic diblock copolymer with hydrophilic hydrophobic blocks were used as building block. The above block copolymers were synthesized by a simple sequential synthesis of each block. By post-modification using radical initiator, the block copolymer spheres could be self-assembled in organic solution to form nanosized micelles or microemulsions. In the presence of hydrophobic block, the block copolymer was involved in the formation of micelles by hydrophobic interactions. With the addition of polyethylene glycol as capping agent, the micelles are stabilized. In this research, the biodegradable materials were introduced to the polymer skeleton, enabling better biocompatibility.
